Students who aim to become CA are excited when they can add CA prefixes to their names. The Chartered Accountancy course has three levels. The CA course duration is of 05 years after class 12th, whereas after graduation, it is of 4.5 years. Below we have mentioned the CA course duration for each level-
CA Foundation – The CA foundation course duration is 06 months, where the study period for the exam is of 04 months, and 02 months is the waiting period for the result.
CA Intermediate – The duration for the Intermediate course is ten months, where the study period is of 08 months and 02 months is the waiting period for the CA intermediate result.
Articleship Duration – The total CA course duration also includes the articleship period. The total duration for an articleship is 03 years.
CA Final – The CA Final duration is of 08 months, where the study period for CA final exam is 06 months and 02 months is waiting period. Students can also prepare for CA Final exam during their articleship period.
The duration of the Chartered Accountancy also depends upon the mode of entering the course and the number of attempts to clear the exam of each level.
The fee for the CA course after class 12th is INR 87,300. The total CA course fees for graduate students will be INR 76,200. The total course fees include examination registration and form fees, which are the same for every student.

The ICAI has recently introduced a new scheme for CA courses. There are no changes in CA examination levels, but the number of subjects in the entire CA curriculum is somewhat the same. In the CA New scheme, the deduction is for several subjects in the CA intermediate, and the final level is balanced by 04 self-paced learning modules, which can be qualified after clearing CA intermediate exams.
